General Information

General visitor information including directions and opening times can be found on the Forestry Commission's website.

There is no charge to enter the National Pinetum, but there is a parking fee of £8.50 per car (including Blue Badge Holders) to visit Bedgebury. See above for more details and prices for other vehicles.

Disabled Access

The Pinetum has good access for disabled visitors. See Accessibility at Bedgebury on the Forestry Commission web site for full details

Lead Walks

We can provide volunteer walk leaders, who can point out items of interest around the Pinetum. Parties of up to 40 can be catered for. We make no charge for this service, but do ask for a donation towards the work of the Pinetum. To book please click here.

Café

The Pineatery is open from 10am until 3pm daily selling baguettes, soup and sandwiches, and until 5pm selling teas, coffees and cakes. It also has children's tapas offering a range of small dishes to tempt even the fussiest young eater. If you are visiting with a larger party and would like to order food in advance please call 07739 564691. We also have picnic benches available if you want to bring your own food.

Dog Walking Policy

Dogs on leads are welcome in the Pinetum, bins and bags are provided for you to clear up after your dog. In the forest away from the children's play area dogs under control are allowed off the lead. Please be aware of other forest users such as horse riders and families with children, excited dogs can frighten them. Please ask at the visitor centre if you need clarification.
