We recommend that if you are venturing into the forest, you take a map and a mobile phone. It is not unknown for people to get lost. You can download a map here, or hard-backed copies are on sale at the Visitor Centre for £2.00 (FREE to new and renewing members of the Friends). A free map of the Pinetum, with the suggested route of the season, is also available from the Visitor Centre.
You can join one of our nordic walking classes to burn calories, help with neck, shoulder and back problems and have safe, sociable outdoor exercise.
Click here to email Amanada who organises these classes.
The Forestry Commission have a series orienteering maps. These are available from the Information Office at £2.00 each.
The four levels are:

Orange - Intermediate
