Bedgebury butterflies


Do you want to be able to tell your gatekeeper from your meadow brown? 

On Saturday 13th May or Saturday 22nd July, join Bedgebury’s butterfly specialist, Anna Picken, as she leads a family walk through the Pinetum in search of the butterflies that live there. You will learn about the habits of butterflies and the ways to identify them. 

The walk will start from the Visitor Centre at 1.00pm and will last approximately 2 hours. £12 per adult and £8 per child under 16.

Please note that this event may involve a lengthy walk and is not suitable for those with limited mobility. Dogs are not permitted. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions and time of day. If excessively adverse weather is forecast for the selected date, a cancellation email will be sent at least 3 days prior to the event. If you are unable to attend on the alternative date offered, you will be fully refunded. Non-members will be subject to a daily vehicle admission charge.
