Helen Hiorns DIP EGS
Having always had a passion for art, flora and fauna, Helen completed her diploma in botanical painting from the English Gardening School at The Chelsea Physic Garden in 2009. Shortly after that, she was delighted to be asked to join the Bedgebury Pinetum Florilegium Society, a group which meets once a month to paint the trees, flowers and cones of the wonderful Pinetum. Helen is also a member of Amicus Botanicus - The Chelsea School of Botanical Art Alumni Society - which holds regular exhibitions of botanical art.
Helen likes to paint most days from her studio in Surrey and continues to be captivated by observations of nature close-up.
Helen has recently been featured in Surrey Life Magazine on their 'Meet the Artist' page, and recent exhibitions include:
'Florabundance' at Watts Contemporary Gallery in Compton, Surrey - an exhibition of paitings, drawings and prints from contemporary British artists.
'Enchanted Gardens' at Godalming Museam - artworks by present day botanical artists and complimentary works from Gertrude Jekyll.
