Get off the beaten track and discover areas that are hidden from the main visitor route!
Click here to download a printer-friendly version of the trail. As this walk is new, we'd love to hear what you think! Please download a feedback form here and hand this in to the Visitor Centre afterwards.
Please note: From time to time, forest maintenance works, event preparations and site conditions may also result in diversions. For your safety, please observe any diversion signs you see on your walk. Please contact the Information Office at the Visitor Centre by telephone or on arrival if you require more assistance. The Information Office team can always recommend variations to the route so that much can still be enjoyed regardless of other onsite activity.
Forestry England offer a series of orienteering maps. These are available from the Information Office for £2 each.
The four levels are:
White - Young Children
Yellow - Beginners
Orange - Intermediate
Light Green - Advanced (experienced only)
