We recommend that if you are venturing into the forest, you take a map and a mobile phone. It is not unknown for people to get lost. You can download a map here, or hard-backed copies are on sale at the Visitor Centre for £2.00 (FREE to new and renewing members of the Friends). A free map of the Pinetum, with the suggested route of the season, is also available from the Visitor Centre.
Hidden secrets of the Pinetum: get off the beaten track and discover areas that are hidden from the main visitor route. Click here or on the image to download a printer-friendly version of the trail.
As this walk is new, we'd love to hear what you think! Please download a feedback form here and hand this in to the Visitor Centre afterwards.
The Forestry Commission have a series of orienteering maps. These are available from the Information Office at £2.00 each.
